Zusammenfassung:	A modular converter unit and a power converter assembly having at least one modular converter unit are described. The converter unit includes a two-sided cooling device and an intermediate circuit capacitor battery with several capacitors that are arranged one on top of the other in a mounting frame. A power module with a control component and a conductor rail system is arranged on one or more mounting plates. The mounting frame is finished with metal sheets for forming channel. A compact converter unit can thus be produce a series of universal modular converter assemblies at low cost.
