Zusammenfassung:	A method and apparatus for treading a tire carcass in which a crude rubber tread is deposited on a tire carcass to be treaded, the tire carcass thus covered having been mounted on a rim and inflated, a resilient ring-shaped mold possessing an inner annular surface ensuring molding of the tread is positioned on the tread, a resilient flange is placed between each bead and each peripheral edge of the mold and covers the outer surface of the tire casing lying between the bead and the edge, and the assembly is placed in a pressurized and heated enclosure.
