Zusammenfassung:	The present invention is generally directed towards a headlight assembly installed in a motor vehicle. The headlight assembly includes a reflector member, and a light source. The reflector member is coated with a first layer of a highly reflective material to reflect the light emitted by the light source. In order to protect the first layer from oxidation, a second layer of an organic carbon compound free of electronegative compound is deposited on top of the first layer.
