Zusammenfassung:A holder for securing mop at the end of a handle, in which a plurality of relatively moveable, absorbent strips made of a textile material are affixed as a result of being clamped between a headpiece and a plate, essentially at right angles to the longitudinal axis of the handle. In the region where the strips are fastened, the holder has a surface area having a length greater than its width, and boundary edges of which are curved to form two corners, without changing the direction of the curvature.
