Zusammenfassung:A network switch configured for switching data packets across multiple ports uses an address table to generate data forwarding decisions. The address table includes source addresses, destination addresses and data forwarding information. The switch may be configured to generate data forwarding decisions based on two data forwarding models. In the first model, data frames received with unknown source addresses are forwarded and the source addresses are added to the address table. In the second model, data frames received with unknown source address are forwarded without adding information to the address table.
