Zusammenfassung:A method of interconnecting a core, a stranded conductor such as a wire rope or cable and a component of a medical electrical lead provided with a internal lumen. At least one of the core and the internal lumen of the component is provided with a textured surface, such as threading. The conductor is located alongside said textured surface and the core is advanced into the lumen of said component, such that the textured surface engages the conductor and retains the conductor as the core is advanced into the lumen, and the conductor is compressed between the core and the inner lumen of the component.
