Zusammenfassung:	A combined read/write thin film magnetic head comprises an upper-core layer formed on a lower-core layer through an insulating layer, a magnetic gap of a nonmagnetic material disposed between one end of the upper-core layer and the lower-core layer, the other end of the upper-core layer and the lower-core layer being magnetically connected to each other, a thin coil layer provided between the lower-core layer and the upper-core layer so as to surround the magnetically connected section, and an organic resin layer, provided beside both sides of the lower-core layer, having substantially the same thickness as the lower-core layer. The coil layer is formed on the core lower-core layer and the organic resin layer through an insulating layer.
