Zusammenfassung:	A graphics display system including one or more display panels having a plurality of lights, a graphics panel data processor including at least one microprocessor, logic for establishing a correspondence between the process variables and selected lights, logic for determining the current state of each of the process variables and transmitting a signal to the corresponding light(s) on the panel to activate the light depending on the current state of the corresponding process variable, and communication means for rapid periodic communication of the process variable data from a process control computer utilizing the graphics display system to each of the panels in the system.
