Zusammenfassung:Described are compounds defined according to the structure: wherein Z represents para cyclohexylene or para phenylene and wherein R1, R2 and R3 are the same or different methyl or hydrogen; and wherein R4 represents hydrogen, methyl or ethyl with the proviso that the sum of the carbon atoms in R1, R2, R3 and R4 is 2. Also described are para-C5 alkyl-substituted ethoxycyclohexanes defined according to the structure: wherein R1, R2 and R3 represent the same or different methyl or hydrogen; and wherein R4 represents hydrogen, methyl or ethyl with the proviso that the sum of the carbon atoms in R1, R2, R3 and R4 is 2 and uses thereof in augmenting or enhancing the aroma of perfume compositions, colognes and perfumed articles including but not limited to solid or liquid anionic, cationic, nonionic or zwitterionic detergents, fabric softener compositions, fabric softener articles and hair preparations; as well as processes for preparing said para-C5 alkyl-substituted ethoxycyclohexanes. Described are compounds defined according to the structure: wherein Z represents para cyclohexylene or para phenylene and wherein R1, R2 and R3 are the same or different methyl or hydrogen; and wherein R4 represents hydrogen, methyl or ethyl with the proviso that the sum of the carbon atoms in R1, R2, R3 and R4 is 2.
