Zusammenfassung:	An oil pump for a closed type compressor of the present invention is mounted in the inside bottom of a closed housing. In the oil pump, a rotor is driven to revolve by an eccentric shaft formed at the lower end of a rotary shaft for driving a compressing mechanism while the rotor is formed with a projection which is inserted into a slot of a cylinder chamber in order to inhibit the rotation of the rotor. In this arrangement, the root of the projection is cut away so that the projection is prevented from interfering with angled portions of an opening of the slot.
