Zusammenfassung:A process for removing lubricant, hydrocarbons and mixtures thereof from a vapor compression mechanical refrigeration system by using carbon dioxide as a solvent is disclosed. The process is carried out using supercritical, liquified or gaseous carbon dioxide and removes lubricant to a level below about 5% so as to be compatible with environmentally acceptable refrigerants.
