The probe has integral therein collection means and illumination means. The steam is illuminated with the illumination means to cause electromagnetic radiation to be reflected from the molten polymer. The electromagnetic reflectance is collected, transmitted to a measurement device remote from the molten stream and quantified as a function of the concentration of the colorant. |
