Zusammenfassung:	A zirconium alloy absorber material is described which can be used in structural components in light water nuclear reactors. The zirconium alloy absorber material includes a zirconium alloy material, such as Zircaloy-2 or Zircaloy-4, which has been modified by the addition of isotopically pure erbium-167 in an amount ranging from about 0.1 to about 0.4 wt. %, and preferably about 0.2 wt. %.
