Zusammenfassung:	Catalytic gauzes which have an enlarged surface can be manufactured from a wire made of 90Pt/10Rh, for example, by coating the wire with a base metal, thermally treating the wire under partial conversion of the 90Pt/10Rh into solid solutions with the base metal, dissolving the base metal and weaving a wire gauze. They are used for the oxidation of ammonia and the ammoxidation of methane.
