Zusammenfassung:	This invention is directed to the generation of hybridomas and the monocot-specific monoclonal antibodies prepared from those hybridomas against the acetohydroxyacid synthase enzyme. The monoclonal antibodies are useful to isolate and purify the enzyme. The invention is also directed to peptides corresponding to fragments of the enzyme which then are used to generate the monoclonal antibodies.
