Zusammenfassung:	New aromatic polyesters and polyester-carbonates are prepared by the reaction of bisphenols of the formula (II) wherein R3 and R4 independently of each other represent C1-C4 alkyl group or a halogen atom, i and k denote zero or an integer 1 to 4, and X1 and X2 represent fluorine by the two-phase boundary process in an aqueous-alkaline phase with iso- or tere-phthaloyl dichloride. The polyesters and polyester carbonates according to the invention can be processed to form shaped articles by extrusion molding or in an extruder, applied in the form of solutions, or spun to fibers from melt or solution.
