Zusammenfassung:	An optical arrangement for high-powered projectors has a metal vapor lamp integrated into an ellipsoidal mirror, and an additional mechanical light valve for the continuous control of brightness of the stream of light, and is especially for use in multi-, super-shuttered and large projectors. The compact structure offers high optical efficiency and, at the same time, slight technical expense. The use of this technology makes possible the production of high-powered diaprojectors with small dimensions and light weight.
