Zusammenfassung:	An insulated window comprising a layer of insulation between two transparent sheets of glazing. The sheets are glued to the insulation layer and then separated so as to increase the thickness of the insulation, thereby providing a way to reduce the density of the insulation beyond the minimum density that can be manufactured. The light transmission of the insulation is substantially unaffected, but the thermal insulating value of the insulation is improved.
