Air external to the shoe is provided access interiorly thereof by means of a conduit directing such air to a sole portion including a plurality of flexible vane elements formed with openings therein. Normal weight distribution about the weight supportive sole portion of the shoe effects a pumping action by means of the vane elements to enable air to circulate therethrough and ultimately to a user's foot through a porous cushioning layer overlying said sole. |
