Date Nov. 5, 1987.An apparatus has a cylindrical working chamber (2) with a bottom member (7) provided with admission and discharge valves (3,5) and a spark plug (4). The bottom member (7) is made as a hollow cylinder having end plates and openings (8), the height and outside diameter of which are approximately equal to the height and inside diameter of the working chamber (2). Sealing rings (11, 12) are interposed between the chamber (2) and the hollow cylinder.
