Zusammenfassung:	A tassel for joining the ends of a draw cord of the type used for closing of a fabric bag, or optionally for mounting on the end of a pull cord of the type used for operating a lamp. The tassel includes a shell having a downwardly opening cavity with a cord end or ends receiving aperture formed through the top. A plug is demountably carried in the cavity of the shell and cord gripping elements are formed in the shell and on the plug for frictionally holding the cord end or ends in the tassel structure.
