Aromatization process
A hydroaromatic compound is aromatized by heating it at 100-300 DEG C. in the presence of a hydrogen acceptor. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the hydroaromatic compound is a dihydronaphthalene bearing an electron-withdrawing substituent, e.g., a cyanodihydronaphthalene.
