Novel therapeutic compounds useful as hypolipidemic and hypocholesteremic agents

alpha -(3-Pentadecylphenoxy)-isobutyric acid, optionally substituted by halogen in the 4-position, and its alkali and alkaline earth metal salts, in particular the calcium salt, are useful hypolipidemic and hypocholesteremic agents or intermediates for making such agents.
