Zusammenfassung:	A method for producing a high molecular weight aromatic polycarbonate composite material which comprises a. coating the reinforcing material with a catalyst system which polymerizes aromatic cyclic carbonate oligomers to high molecular weight aromatic polycarbonate under appropriate conditions; b. contacting the catalyst system coated reinforcing material with a mixture of aromatic cyclic carbonate oligomers and; c. polymerizing the mixture of aromatic cyclic carbonate oligomers to high molecular weight aromatic polycarbonate.
