Zusammenfassung:	A hydraulic power brake system has a pump driven through a variable torque magnetic clutch by an engine-drive pulley. A rheostat controlled by movement of the brake booster push rod varies the amount of current to the clutch to control the torque transmitted to the pump. The pump pressure output varies directly with clutch torque. Pump pressure is delivered to a closed center hydraulic booster. The pump does not operate when no braking effort is required.
