Zusammenfassung: | A cassette for X-ray film has two rigid sections connected to each other by a hinge which forms the central portion of an opaque plastic foil bonded to the inner sides of the sections. One of the sections has a radiation-admitting opening which extends to the hinge and is bounded by elastic sealing lips forming integral parts of the foil. The foil has a hole for evacuation of air from the interior of the container when the two sections overlap and are locked to each other. X-ray film and an intensifying screen are placed into the container within the confines of the sealing lips to extend all the way to the hinge. The container can be used for the making of mammograms to image the breasts all the way to and inclusive of the adjacent parts of the chest. |
