Also disclosed is a process for rendering fire retardant a curable ethylenically unsaturated composition containing ester linkages comprising adding to said composition an effective fire retardant amount of N,N'-ethylene bis(salicylidene iminato) FE II, its oxidation product, or a mixture thereof.
