The composition comprises a dispersion of boron nitride powder, an elastomeric polymer and an organic solvent or diluent. The elastomeric polymer consists of two fractions, a high-polymer fraction and a low-polymer fraction. The treatment provides thermal insulation to the mold surface, thereby minimizing premature solidification of the cast metal. |
