Zusammenfassung: | A penile prosthesis which is adapted for the treatment of erectile impotence is surgically implanted in a man and includes two elongated body portions, each adapted to be surgically implanted in a corpus cavernosum of the penis, with each body portion including a non-distensible portion made of a semi-rigid silastic material and adapted to be implanted into the root end of the corpus cavernosum, and a distensible body portion formed unitary with said non-distensible portion, with the distensible body portion adapted to be surgically implanted into the tunica end of said corpus cavernosum. Each distensible body portion is connected by tubing to a fluid reservoir surgically implanted in the scrotal sac. Suitable valve means are provided for controlling the flow of fluid between said fluid reservoir and said distensible body portions. |
