Zusammenfassung:	A process for catalytically converting hydrocarbons wherein hydrocarbons are contacted at hydrocarbon conversion conditions with a supported iridium catalyst prepared by the contacting of, for example, an alumina support with a liquid medium containing a compound of iridium while maintaining the iridium-containing liquid medium at a pH of from 3 to 6 with an ammonium hydroxide or lower alkyl amine base.
