Zusammenfassung:	A steering lock for vehicles, especially for motor vehicles, with a locking mechanism mechanically locking the steering as a function of the position of the ignition key and with a switch disconnecting at least a part of the power supply; a further shifting member is thereby provided in the lock housing which carries out a positively controlled stroke movement during the rotation of the ignition key; the shifting member transmits its stroke movement to a plunger of a switch which plunger is located substantially in the axis of the lock cylinder.
