Zusammenfassung:	Apparatus is for the calendering of laminated polymeric materials, comprising a pair of cylindrical counter-rotating calender rolls positioned to define therebetween a nip opening, and volumetric obstruction means positioned across the width and between said pair of calender rolls, said obstruction means projecting into the space between said pair of calender rolls so as to at least penetrate the bank of material otherwise formed between the pair of calender rolls upstream of the nip by the selection of calendering conditions, said obstruction means having a central slot across its width for the feeding of a web of laminating material to said pair of calender rolls enclosed between two side slots for the extrusion of two streams of polymeric material to said pair of calender rolls.
