The concept is discussed in detail with respect to each phase of a polyphase system, the power in each phase being transmitted by a plurality of concentric, circular conducting cylinders the inner of which carries power at the highest voltage in the axial direction, the intermediate cylinder (or cylinders) carries power at a predetermined intermediate voltage (or voltages), and the outer cylinder is at ground potential and carries the neutral or return current for the inner conductors. |
