Zusammenfassung: | 1,246,774. Moulding shafts with flanges. TOKAI RIKA DENKI SEISAKUSHO K.K. 3 April, 1970. [10 April, 1969], No. 15906/70. Heading B5A. A mould for moulding an article having a plurality of flanges 1a, 1b, 1c extending radially outwards from a shaft 1, at least one of which is mounted eccentrically or has ribs on its outer periphery in which the mould comprises a split mould for the flanges having sections 4a, 4b, 4c and another split mould for the shaft having sections 5ab, 5bc, a pin 6 being provided in the mould cavity to shift the moulded article from the mould when open. The article is moulded with the split moulds closed to form a mould cavity with force (2), (Fig. 3, not shown) and bottom plate 3 in place. Force 2 is then withdrawn and mould sections 5ab, 5bc split and the article is moved into the position shown in Fig. 5, by the pin 6. Finally, mould sections 4a, 4b, 4c are split so that the article can be fully withdrawn from the mould by further movement of pin 6. The shaft may be of any cross-section and not necessarily straight, e.g. a crank-shaft. The moulds may split into two more parts. |
