Zusammenfassung:So as to obtain curved channels in a channel plate having secondary electron emission, a non-uniform temperature distribution is realized in at least one thickness portion of a channel plate in which the said channels are to be formed. This non-uniform temperature distribution is such that the glass is in a state between the elastic state and the viscous state, while at the same time the plate is subjected to a mechanical stress which acts on the plate surfaces at an angle.
