Zusammenfassung: | Heavy petroleum may be recovered from an underground formation by in situ combustion followed by injection of a hydrocarbon, which may be produced petroleum which thermally decomposes into light, low viscosity liquids that readily flow toward producing wells and petroleum coke which deposits on the reservoir formation, thereby providing fuel for another in situ combustion and repeating the cycle of operation until substantially all of the immobile, heavy petroleum is converted into a low viscosity liquid and/or gas. |
