LINER FOR GRINDING MILLS

1397672 Mill liners KOPPERS CO INC 22 Oct 1973 [10 Nov 1972] 49110/73 Heading B2A A mill has a liner assembly comprising axially-extending (preferably T-shaped) guide members 38 Fig 4 secured to the inner surface of the mill, liner members 42 or the inner surface of the mill between adjacent guide members, lifter members 44 slidably engageable on the guide members to form rows or lifter members and when engaged on the guide members to hold the liner members against the inner surface of the mill and key lifter members 48 Fig 5 which are releasably secured (preferably by bolts 49) to the inner surface of the mill. These key lifter members 48 prevent disengagement of the lifter members 44 from the guide members. A modification has a liner member and key lifter member of unitary construction 78 Fig 6. The mill includes an inlet core and outlet sieve Fig 1 (not shown). The liner system may be applied to both end walls and peripheral wall.
