1333311 Pyrazolo[1,5-c]pyrimidines BAYER AG 26 Nov 1971 [27 Nov 1970] 55026/71 Heading C2C The invention comprises compounds of the individual or tautomeric formulµ wherein R1 and R4 are each H, C 1-4 alkyl, aryl which is optionally mono- or disubstituted (by halogen, nitro, alkyl, alkoxy or alkylmercapto) or heteroaryl; R2 and R3 are each H or C 1-4 alkyl, or together form C 2-4 alkylene; R3-R4 or R1-R2 may also form C 2-4 alkylene; R5 is H or (when the compound has one of the above formulµ) C 1-4 alkyl; X is O, S or NH, and when the compound is represented by the second of the above formulµ X-R5 may together form = N-(CH 2 ) n - or where n is 2-4, m is 0-1 and m1 is 0-1. These compounds are prepared by reacting together at 0-150‹ C. in an aqueous and/or organic medium, the compounds and or a mineral acid salt of the latter. Therapeutic compositions for oral, parenteral, rectal or topical administration comprise compounds of the above formula, which have trichomonocidal and amoebicidal activity.
