Zusammenfassung:A character recognizing or recognition system characterized in that, in order to determine the category of an unknown character, a plurality of reference characters are used to compute the correlation between the mutually adjacent reference characters and also the correlation between the unknown character and the reference character; and THE CATEGORY OF THE UNKNOWN CHARACTER IS DETERMINED BY PAIR JUDGEMENT ACCORDING TO THE WEIGHTING COEFFICIENT DETERMINED BY SAID CORRELATION DATA, WHEREBY THE UNKNOWN CHARACTER IS RECOGNIZED. This system makes it possible to average the weight distribution and to minimize the read error.
