Zusammenfassung:	An ink jet recording apparatus supplying a nozzle with ink through an ink passage from an ink tank and ejecting the ink from the nozzle for printing wherein there is provided in the ink passage a means for removing air carried into the ink. The air removal means includes a supplementary ink holder and a valve which couples the receptacle during a non-printing period for removal of the air.
