Zusammenfassung:	A hard facing wear pad usable, for example, by brazing to a digger tooth or the like is provided in practice of this invention. The wear pad is from 70 to 85 percent by volume particles of cemented metal carbide in a metal matrix having a melting point not substantially higher than the melting point of the metal cementing the carbide. The cemented carbide particles are in the size range of from about 6 to 30 U.S. Sieve, and the thickness of the pad is within limits determined by the cemented carbide particle size.
