Zusammenfassung:A protective hood adapted to surround the head of a person in order to protect him against contact with and inhalation of aerosols and gases and other dangerous substances, the hood consisting of a bag-shaped member made of plastic foil, preferably transparent plastic foil, in which an opening is provided and closed by an inhalation filter, a shrouding member being provided and adapted to surround the hood and press it into contact with the surface of the head of the user, so that the dead space in the hood is decreased, said shrouding member preferably consisting of a hood-shaped, elastic net.
