Zusammenfassung:	A mechanism to replace the flash hole structure of either breech or muzzle loading percussion firearms to allow firing with metallic cartridge primers of present day commerce. The primer is enclosed by a removable cap during firing to prevent fragmentation. A relatively large flash hole is provided with a check valve to alleviate misfires and hangfires to prevent blow backs.
