Zusammenfassung:	In a continuous casting machine in which the casting emerging from the mold is conducted through a secondary cooling zone by a guide apron having spaced apron segment parts between which the casting moves, means are provided for relieving overload stresses which may be applied to said spaced apron segment parts by said casting in the event of interruption of the casting process. Hydraulic pressure is applied to said spaced apron segment parts to hold them in spaced relation, and means are provided to maintain the spaced relation even in the event of failure of the hydraulic pressure.
