Zusammenfassung:	An automatic air release valve is connected to the discharge side of a self-priming centrifugal pump for venting air from the pumping system during the priming cycle. The valve automatically closes upon completion of the priming cycle to prevent venting of liquid during the pumping cycle. A flow responsive actuator maintains the valve closed.
