Zusammenfassung:	A device for detecting a rotating angle. The device has a scale which rotates around a center of a fulcrum and on which light shielding sections and light passing sections are arranged. A light source provides light which irradiates the scale. A photoconductive element receives light passed through the scale, and a slit-plate which is arranged between the photoconductive element and the scale further passes light from the light passing sections of the scale to the photoconductive element.
