Zusammenfassung: | 1344626 Printing textile materials IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd 8 July 1971 [24 July 1970] 35981/70 Heading D1B Textile materials composed of nitrogenous, acrylic, polyester or acid dyeable polypropylene fibres are printed by applying a print paste containing in addition to one or more dyes a mixture of a) a derivative of glycerol which is an ester of a carboxylic acid having four or more carbon atoms and one or more oxyalkylene groups and b) a surface active agent, the amount of glycerol derivative a) being in the range 0.1 to 0.5% by weight of the weight of the print paste and the amount of b) being at least equal to that of glycerol derivative a). Nitrogenous fibres include wool and polyamides, dyesemployedinclude, acid, direct, basic, reactive and disperse dyes, anionic, cationic and non-ionic surface active agents may be employed, lauric acid diethanolamide being preferred, condensates of glycerol monolaurate with 17, 23 or 36 moles of ethylene oxide being specified as component a). The processes of the invention reduce "frostiness' on pile fabrics and carpets. |
