Zusammenfassung:In the process for providing an organic isocyanate by the reaction of an organic nitro compound with carbon monoxide in the presence of a noble metal based catalyst, the improvement which comprises performing the reaction in the presence of an unsaturated organic compound having at least one multiple bond conjugated to another multiple bond in selected aliphatic or cycloaliphatic systems or in the presence of an unsaturated organic compound having at least one multiple bond conjugated to an aromatic hydrocarbon nucleus.
