SEPARATION OF DIETHYLBENZENE ISOMERS BY DISTILLATION AND DEHYDROGENATION

Mixed isomeric diethylbenzenes are separated into pure isomers by first distilling the mixture to separate an overhead concentrate of most of the meta isomer and the mixed para and ortho bottoms are then dehydrogenated and finally separated into substantially pure ortho and para isomers.
