Zusammenfassung:	Novel combustible cartridge cases of superior properties are obtained by impregnating a dry felted preform, produced from a mixture consisting essentially of a fibrous cellulosic material containing free hydroxyl groups and a highly combustible organic nitro compound in finely divided form, with an organic polyisocyanate or other water insoluble resin precursor capable of reacting with the cellulosic hydroxyl groups, and thereafter forming the water-insoluble resin in situ.
